In his new role, Sgt. Casini will be in charge of coordinating the PCC detention certification program (which PCSO detention recruits attend in order to receive certification).
In addition to serving as an instructor himself, Sgt. Casini will be responsible for coordinating additional instructors as needed for the course. He also will focus on developing advanced and specialized training for detention. Given his new assignment, he has been transferred to the PCSO training section. He has served in his new role for approximately two months.
coordinator position is funded by PCC, but staffed by a member of the
Sheriff's Office. Sgt. Casini, who has been with PCSO for 9 years, was
recommended for the spot by a review board. He previously has served
as a detention instructor for in-house training, and has held a key
