Undercover Operation Targets Underage Sale Of Alcohol

A joint undercover operation by the Polk County Sheriff's Office School Resource Unit and the State of Florida Beverage Unit targeting the sale of alcohol to underage customers at convenience stores resulted in the arrest of three store clerks on Thursday, April 24, 2003.

During the operation, the following were arrested for selling alcoholic beverages to an underage undercover "customer:"

  • Shadi Shuaibi, DOB 6/1/76, of Wesley Chapel; store clerk at Time Saver Store located at 1680 Dundee Road in Winter Haven.
  • Serina Seago, DOB 3/24/83, of 1125 Monroe Road Lot #4 in Winter Haven: store clerk at Cumberland Farm Store located at 4033 Dundee Road in Winter Haven.
  • Nitaben Patel, DOB 9/17/79, of 1756 Lake Hill Drive in Winter Haven; store clerk at Dundee Food Store located at 915 Highway 542 in Dundee.

All three were charged with one count Selling an Alcoholic Beverage to a Person under 21 Years of Age.

The operation targeted a total of 8 convenience stores in the county. The above listed suspects were the only clerks to sell alcohol  to the underage "customer."
