PCSO Cyber Substation Offers Wealth of Free Information & Inquiries
In an ongoing effort to provide excellent
customer service and make public information instantly available to
citizens, the Polk County Sheriff's Office has made some recent additions
to its website, www.polksheriff.org. Called its "Cyber Substation",
the website has always provided information about the agency and its
members, helpful links, and numerous search options. The new additions
- Judicial Process Search: Viewers have been
able to do online Service of Process searches to see if civil process
documents, such as summonses, notices, and other court orders, have been
served; now customers can query Eviction/Repossession status', by first
and last name.
- In the "News Room" section, see HIDTA News
for updated information on PCSO's involvement in the multi-agency task
force that focuses on High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas, with
helpful links to the other agencies who participate. Also new to the
"News Room" is a Crime Prevention Newsletter, which will be updated on a
monthly basis with information to help PCSO and the community strengthen
their partnership in order to improve the quality of life in our county.
- Under the "Customer Service" heading,
check out our new Home Security Survey, a tool for citizens to help them
become more self-aware of their personal safety habits. Included is
information on how citizens can contact the Crime Prevention Unit for a
more detailed security analysis.
- The Shining Star, the monthly agency
newsletter, can also be viewed from the home page. The newsletter,
produced by the Public Information Office, is full of interesting
stories about agency members and activities.
Make it a habit the next time you're online
to visit our website, www.polksheriff.org, and spend some time getting to
know PCSO and the free information and services we provide.
