A joint undercover operation on Thursday, September 18, 2003 by the Polk County Sheriff's Office School Resource Unit and the State Bureau of Alcohol and Tobacco, targeting the sale of alcohol to underage customers at convenience stores, resulted in charges filed against four store clerks.
During the operation, the following were charged with one count each of Selling an Alcoholic Beverage to a Person under 21 Years of Age:
The operation targeted a total of 6
establishments in the county. The above listed suspects were the only
clerks to sell alcohol to the underage "customer."
