Four Charged With Sale of Alcohol to Minors

A joint undercover operation on Thursday, September 18, 2003 by the Polk County Sheriff's Office School Resource Unit and the State Bureau of Alcohol and Tobacco, targeting the sale of alcohol to underage customers at convenience stores, resulted in charges filed against four store clerks.

During the operation, the following were charged with one count each of Selling an Alcoholic Beverage to a Person under 21 Years of Age:

  • Geneva Curtner, DOB 5/12/73, of Lakeland; store clerk at Circle K Store located at 1140 East Lemon in Lakeland.
  • Kunyil Lee, DOB 5/14/45, of Winter Haven; store clerk at Ave G Food Store located at Ave G & 25th Street in Winter Haven.
  • Anna Brungard, DOB 8/21/85, of Winter Haven; store clerk at All Star Grill located at 9065
    Spring Lake Square in Winter Haven.
  • Mohammed Hossain, DOB 3/11/65, of Kissimmee; store clerk at Majik Market in Loughman.

The operation targeted a total of 6 establishments in the county. The above listed suspects were the only clerks to sell alcohol to the underage "customer."
