Elderly Woman Missing From Davenport

The Polk County Sheriff's Office Missing Persons Unit is looking for an elderly woman who has been missing since yesterday afternoon. The woman, who may suffer from memory loss, could possibly have become disoriented and lost.

Irene Kelsch, DOB 10/18/31, of Lake Placid, has been missing from the Davenport area since around 3 p.m. yesterday (Monday, Dec. 22, 2003). She has been in the Davenport area visiting family. When her family returned home from a visit to a theme park yesterday afternoon, Kelsch was no longer at the residence. Detectives believe Kelsch is driving a silver 1997 Ford Taurus station wagon with a luggage rack on top and license plate D61LTP.  She is described as a white female, 5'2, 130 pounds, with hazel eyes and gray shoulder-length hair, and wearing glasses.

Detectives are seeking the community's assistance in locating Kelsch. If anyone thinks they may have seen the missing woman and/or her vehicle, please call the Polk County Sheriff's Office at 533-0444.
