Polk County Sheriff's Office Provides Gun Safety Training
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office, in
conjunction with the League of Women Voters of Polk County, will be
hosting several upcoming Gun Safety Awareness Training Sessions.
Did you know that one half of the homes in the United States have guns?
Even if you don’t have a gun in your home, you should talk to your
children about guns. Explain to them the risks of gun injury outside the
home in places they may visit or play. There’s no such thing as a loaded
gun that is safe in a home, especially if children are around. Learn
about these facts and other gun safety related topics at the listed

After each presentation, gun safety locks will be issued, free of
charge, to all citizens who complete the training.
