Crow, Jr., is pleased to announce that for the fourth year in a row, crime in unincorporated Polk County, over which the Polk County Sheriff's Office has jurisdiction, has decreased.  During the first six months of 2004, crime went down 6.6%, compared to the same time period in 2003. According to recently released semi-annual statistics from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), the overall crime reported in Florida decreased 2.3% the first six months of the year.
