Boot Camp Drill Instructor Arrested for County Juvenile

Polk County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Polk County Juvenile Boot Camp drill instructor on Saturday, October 30, 2004, on one charge of Battery - Domestic Violence.

Keith Ivan Brown, DOB 9/13/68, was taken into custody without incident at his home in Lakeland after the victim, who lives at the residence with him, complained that he struck her on the left side of her face. He was booked into the Polk County Jail, and bonded out on Sunday, October 31, 2004.

Brown has been employed at the Sheriff's Office since July 2002, when he was hired as a Detention Deputy. He was promoted to Drill Instructor in January 2003. He is currently assigned to the Aftercare Transition section of the Boot Camp. He is under paid Administrative Leave until the completion of a PCSO Administrative Investigation, which is standard operating procedure when any member is arrested.
