Polk County Sheriff's deputies, with cooperation from Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies, apprehended a suspect in an April 2004 shooting on Thursday, December 2, 2004, when he was found at a residence in Brandon.
Noel Carbajal-Rosales, DOB 12/28/04, of 3508 N. Shady Brook Drive in Mulberry, was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Hillsborough County Jail on 2 counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and 1 count each of Discharging a Firearm in Public, Improper Exhibition of a Weapon, and Culpable Negligence.
Friday night, Polk County homicide detectives obtained a warrant charging him also with 2nd Degree Murder with a Firearm for the September 11, 2004, drive-by shooting death of Victor Trejo. The driver of the vehicle used in that shooting, Isaac Rosales, was arrested earlier this week. According to his statement and that of other witnesses, Carbajal-Rosales fired several rounds into a crowd at the club, killing Trejo instantly. Both of these men have remained at large until this week.
Carbajal-Rosales will be moved to the Polk County Jail to face these charges in the next few days, where he will be held under no bond.
