Lakeland Man Charged With 2 Counts Aggravated Assault and 2 Counts False Imprisonment.

BARTOW. 58-year-old Harland Carl Pollard of 4725 Walnut Circle, South, Lakeland was
arrested today, charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault and 2 counts of false imprisonment. According to deputies, Pollard swung a sword at two victims (tenants renting a room in his home) and held them against their will by screwing a piece of plywood over their bedroom door. Mr. Pollard was angry because he said they were behind on their rent.

The two victims, 26-year-old Christina Tuzzolino and 32-year-old Clyde Burton Davis, both of 4725 Walnut Circle, South, Lakeland, called deputies from their bedroom. Deputies responded, got the two out of the home through a bedroom window, and arrested Pollard with no incident. Deputies found the sword and collected it for evidence. The victims were not injured.

Pollard is being held in the Polk County Jail with no bond.
