Polk County Sheriff’s Office Computer Crimes Detectives Charge Poinciana Man with Possession of Child Pornography

On Thursday, January 10, 20134, Polk County Sheriff’s Office Computer Crimes detectives arrested 60-year-old Jerry Ulrey, 314 Dogfish Way, Poinciana, charging him with Possession of Child Pornography.

Ulrey was arrested in 2012 and charged with multiple counts of Possession of Child Pornography.  After the 2012 arrest, Ulrey was released on bond with pretrial conditions and has not yet gone to trial for the original charges.

Detectives received information that Ulrey was using marijuana and that his wife and family were growing fearful of his verbally abusive behavior.  Detectives, working with the State Attorney’s Office of the 10th Judicial Circuit, obtained a capias and arrested Ulrey at his home.

Ulrey was located in the master bedroom of the residence.  The living conditions were described as deplorable with indications the suspect did not leave the master bedroom for long periods of time. Trash and old food were located all over the bedroom floor, and a small refrigerator containing food items was found in the room.

The suspect was also in possession of personal use K-2.   As the capias was being served, an iPad was observed on the desk next to the suspect which violates the conditions of his pre-trial release.

The suspect was arrested and transported the Polk County Jail and faces 21 counts of Possession of Obscene Materials, and Violation of Pretrial Conditions. He is being held on no bond.
