 Operation Pop Top Results  

On Wednesday, February 14, 2018, PCSO deputies, along with the assistance of a PCSO Explorer (high school student volunteer), conducted “Operation Pop Top” in an effort to combat the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors in the Winter Haven, Dundee, Lake Hamilton, and Haines City area. 7 stores were checked and 5 were in compliance.

"We are consistently encouraged that the vast majority of retailers in our area comply with the laws prohibiting selling alcohol to minors. We thank them for their diligence. Those who do not comply will be held accountable.”  Grady Judd, Sheriff

The following stores were in compliance: 

7-Eleven - 7011 Cypress Gardens Boulevard, Winter Haven

Citgo Station - 4850 Cypress Gardens Boulevard, Winter Haven

7 Days Cypress Gardens Station - 3071 Cypress Gardens Road, Winter Haven

Circle K - 5600 Cypress Gardens Boulevard, Winter Haven

EZ Food Sunoco - 3050 Hwy. 27 North, Lake Hamilton

28-year-old Guatum Patel of Winter Haven, who works at the 7-Eleven located at 28200 U.S. Highway 27 in Dundee, was arrested for sale of alcohol to a minor.

24-year-old Bianca Jones of Davenport, who works at the Racetrac located at 32886 U.S. Highway 27 in Haines City, was arrested and for sale of alcohol to a minor.
