 Operation Pop Top 

On Thursday, February 22, 2018, PCSO deputies, along with the assistance of a PCSO Explorer (high school student volunteer), conducted “Operation Pop Top” in an effort to combat the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors in the Eagle Lake, Bartow, Winter Haven, Lake Wales, and Wahneta areas. 9 stores were checked and 8 were in compliance.

"We are consistently encouraged that the vast majority of retailers in our area comply with the laws prohibiting selling alcohol to minors. We thank them for their diligence. Those who do not comply will be held accountable.”  Grady Judd, Sheriff

The following stores were in compliance: 

Soni Food Mart - 558 North 5th Street, Eagle Lake

RaceTrac - 11023 U.S. Hwy 17 North, Eagle Lake

Eagle Lake Super Market - 15 West Central Avenue, Eagle Lake

Citgo Cypress Food Mart - 150 5th Street, Eagle Lake

Star Food Mart - 4660 U.S. Hwy 17 North, Bartow

Sunoco - 195 North Rifle Range Road, Winter Haven

Rifle Range Food Mart -501 North Rifle Range Road, Wahneta

Superway 8 - 3544 Rifle Range Road, Winter Haven

58-year-old Rozanne Gould of Lake Wales, who works at EZ Go Food Mart located at 15 S. Acuff Road in Lake Wales, was arrested for sale of alcohol to a minor.
