 Operation Pop Top Results  

On Friday, March 2, 2018, PCSO deputies, along with the assistance of a PCSO Explorer (high school student volunteer), conducted “Operation Pop Top” in an effort to combat the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors in the Lakeland area. 12 stores were checked and 11 were in compliance.

"We are consistently encouraged that the vast majority of retailers in our area comply with the laws prohibiting selling alcohol to minors. We thank them for their diligence. Those who do not comply will be held accountable.”  Grady Judd, Sheriff

The following stores were in compliance: 

Shell – 2425 W. Memorial Blvd. Lakeland

5 Star Gas and Fuel – 2340 W. Memorial Blvd. Lakeland

Sunoco – 2100 W. Memorial Blvd. Lakeland

Lakeland Citgo – 3975 New Tampa Hwy. Lakeland

Chevron – 4301 New Tampa Hwy. Lakeland

Shell – 3730 Airport Rd. Lakeland

Marathon – 3230 W. Pipkin Rd. Lakeland

Pipkin Road One Stop – 1155 W. Pipkin Rd. Lakeland

Marathon Gas – 933 W. Pipkin Rd. Lakeland

Racetrac – 3600 Harden Blvd. Lakeland

Sunoco – 1920 Harden Blvd. Lakeland

23-year-old Bryanna Marie Vanek of Lakeland, who works at K. K. Food Mart located at 4275 New Tampa Hwy. in Lakeland, was arrested for sale of alcohol to a minor.
