On March 18, 2014, Davenport Police Officers discovered a marijuana grow house in the city of Davenport. PCSO Undercover Narcotics Unit detectives responded to assist, and dismantled it. The homeowner was arrested.
Officers and detectives searched the home, located at 211 West Cypress Street in Davenport, and located an indoor marijuana grow operation in the garage, including 55 plants ranging in size from six inches to three feet; five pounds of harvested marijuana buds; 32 high-intensity bulbs; and eight electric ballasts. The plants were seized and the grow equipment was destroyed.
The homeowner, Larry Lemonds (DOB 3/2/1954), admitted to growing the marijuana but told detectives it was for his own use. He was arrested and charged with: one count Cultivation of Marijuana, one count Possession of Marijuana Over 20 Grams, one count Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, one count Maintain Dwelling for Drug Manufacturing.
