PCSO Undercover Detectives Arrest Kissimmee Man for Traveling to Meet Minor and Other Charges

On Friday, March 27, 2015, PCSO undercover detectives arrested 45-year-old Earnest Anthony Jr. (DOB 4/2/69) of 329 Clermont Drive in Kissimmee, after Anthony solicited online an undercover PCSO detective whom Anthony thought was a 13-year-old girl.

According to the affidavit, in March 2015, the PCSO detective, who is a member of the Central Florida ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Task Force, posted a profile of a 13-year-old local girl on a social networking site during an undercover operation. The detective was contacted by a man who told her he was 20 years old and from Poinciana. During the online and text conversations, the man told the "girl" that he had had 13- and 14-year-old girlfriends before, and that age was "just a number." The man asked her if she was a virgin, and if she would be his girlfriend. The man asked her to send nude photos of herself to him, and asked if he could perform lewd acts on her. The man sent her lewd photos via text. The man was positively identified as Earnest Anthony.

Anthony is a registered sex offender. His prior criminal history includes arrests for aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated incest, indecent behavior with a juvenile, forcible rape, cocaine possession, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Anthony made plans to meet with the "girl" so that he could have sex with her on his birthday, April 2nd. Anthony then made plans to meet with the "girl" on March 27th. Anthony traveled to Polk County and was instead met by PCSO detectives, and placed under arrest.

Inside his vehicle, detectives found 41 grams of marijuana, 0.6 grams of cocaine, baggies and a digital scale, and several condoms. Anthony told the "girl" during one of their conversations that he sells "weed." During a post-Miranda interview, Anthony told detectives he has fathered 20 different children with seven different mothers, and that the children are between the ages of 1 year old to 27 years old, and they live in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and New York. He told detectives he does not pay child support for any of these children. Osceola County Sheriff's detectives responded to Anthony's residence and interviewed family members there. They told detectives he has six children that they know of.

Anthony was booked into the Polk County Jail for the following:

  • one count No Valid DL
  • one count Possession of Controlled Substance Without Rx
  • one count Possession of Marijuana Over 20 Grams
  • one count Possession of Cocaine WITS
  • one count Owning Vehicle for Drug Trafficking
  • one count Public Nuisance (related to drug sales)
  • one count Possession of Paraphernalia
  • one count Traveling to Meet Minor After Use of Computer to Seduce a Child
  • one count Lewd and Lascivious Behavior
  • three counts Transmission of Material Harmful to Minor
  • eight counts Use of Computer to Seduce a Child (Enhanced)
  • one count Unlawful Use of Two-Way Device

He remains in the Polk County Jail on no bond.

"Earnest Anthony is the poster child for why we, as the Central Florida ICAC Task Force coordinator, investigate such egregious crimes against children. This suspect went to great lengths to groom, seduce, and attempt to have sex with a young girl. He belongs behind bars where he can't hurt anyone ever again." - Sheriff Grady Judd
