On Wednesday, March 29, 2017, PCSO deputies, along with the assistance of a PCSO Explorer (high school student volunteer), conducted “Operation Pop Top” in an effort to combat the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors, in the Davenport area. Eleven stores were checked, and ten were in compliance.
We are consistently encouraged that the vast majority of retailers in our area comply with the laws prohibiting selling alcohol to minors. We thank them for their diligence. Those who do not comply will be held accountable.” Grady Judd, Sheriff

56-year-old Sheila Wright of Davenport, who works at the Circle K store located at 2444 Sand Mind Road, Davenport, was arrested and charged with selling alcohol to a minor.
