  PCSO Undercover Detectives Arrest Two Men at Saddle Creek and Gator Creek Preserve Parks  


On April 9, 2015, Polk County Sheriff's undercover detectives conducted a Vice initiative at Saddle Creek Park, Homeland Park, and Gator Creek Preserve Park in Lakeland, focusing on complaints about indecent activity at the parks. Two men were arrested for soliciting lewd acts:

69-year-old Michael Shetter, of 6454 Highlands Oak Trail in Lakeland, exposed himself to and committed a lewd act in front of an undercover detective at Saddle Creek Park. He told detectives he is retired and married. He was arrested and charged with Committing Lewdness in Public. He was booked into the Polk County Jail and is was released after posting $250.00 bond.

He was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure in Public, Offering to Commit Lewdness, and Battery. He was booked into the Polk County Jail and is was released after posting $1,250.00 bond. 

Both suspects were issued trespass warnings for all parks in Polk County.

We will continue to monitor our county parks and recreational facilities to ensure the safety of our citizens, and for those who don't get the message, we are happy to give you a free ride to the county jail." - Sheriff Grady Judd
