On Tuesday, April 11, 2017, PCSO deputies, along with the assistance of a PCSO Explorer (high school student volunteer), conducted “Operation Pop Top” in an effort to combat the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors in the Lakeland area. Eight stores were checked and seven were in compliance.
"We are consistently encouraged that the vast majority of retailers in our area comply with the laws prohibiting selling alcohol to minors. We thank them for their diligence. Those who do not comply will be held accountable.” Grady Judd, Sheriff

7-11- 6175 Hwy 98, Lakeland
Discount Liquors- 5457 Hwy 98 S. Lakeland
Race Trac- 4285 Hwy 98, Lakeland
7-11- 3771 Bartow Rd., Lakeland
Wawa- 3105 Bartow Rd., Lakeland
41-year-old Muhammad Ullah of Lakeland, who works at the Chevron gas station located at 1315 Bartow Road of Lakeland, was arrested and charged with selling alcohol to a minor.
