On Tuesday, April 22, 2014, PCSO Deputies arrested 25-year-old Warren “Chalmers” Orr IV of 211 Greenwoods Drive in Lakeland and charged him with a litany of crimes stemming from a road rage incident that occurred two days earlier in Mulberry.
Around 10:20 a.m. on April 20, 2014, Orr was a passenger in a vehicle as it was leaving the Walmart gas station in Mulberry. The vehicle he was in was behind another vehicle that was waiting for traffic to clear before pulling out onto the road. The driver of Orr’s vehicle honked to alert the other car to move. A passenger in the other car responded by asking, “Really?” and shrugging his shoulders. In response to this, Orr immediately left the vehicle he was in and approached the other car in a threatening manner. The victim’s car left before Orr could reach it.
Orr’s vehicle caught up with the victim’s vehicle as it was stopped at the light at Shepherd Rd and Imperial Parkway in Mulberry. Orr again got out and approached the vehicle, cursing and wanting to engage in a physical fight with the vehicle’s occupants. He tried to open the passenger door but it was locked. He then punched the passenger window twice. When one of the victims rolled the window down slightly to tell Orr she was calling law enforcement, Orr grabbed the top of the window and pulled on it until it shattered. He then attempted to grab and punch the passenger. The driver pulled away from the scene and escaped further physical confrontation and damage.
The victims, who do not know Orr and have never had any previous contact with him, called PCSO. Deputies responded to investigate, and positively identified Orr as the suspect in this case. Orr was placed under arrest for one count Burglary of Conveyance (illegally entering into the victim’s car); three counts Simple Assault and Threat to do Violence; three counts Aggravated Stalking; and one count Criminal Mischief. The victims He was additionally charged with one count Battery Domestic Violence in an unrelated incident that occurred during the same time period. He remains in the Polk County Jail on no bond. Orr was recently arrested on March 31, 2014, for three counts Threatening a Public Servant, one count Trespassing, one count Disorderly Conduct, and one count Resisting Arrest. He was released from jail on April 1, 2014, under pre-trial release conditions, which he violated on April 22nd. In all, he has been in the Polk County Jail on seven prior occasions.
