Polk County Sheriff’s Office Detectives Arrest Bobby Creech on Lewd Molestation Charges

“Our message is very clear-if there is anyone who has ever been a victim of crimes such as this, regardless of when it may have occurred, we will always investigate the case, and we will always seek justice for our victims,”  Sheriff Grady Judd.

In the pre-dawn hours of Friday, May 04, 2012, and with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals’ Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force, Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested 44-year-old Bobby Creech charging him with Lewd Molestation.  Creech was located in Tampa.

The charges are a result of an investigation into a 6-year-long victimization which began in 1997 and continued through 2006.  The victim, who was 9-years-old at the time, is now an adult.

In February 2012, Creech was charged with Kidnapping, Battery and Tampering with a Victim.  In that investigation, detectives learned that Creech had forced his former girlfriend into a vehicle after an argument.  The victim had abrasions and told detectives Creech had threatened her life.

In 1986, Creech was charged with Fleeing to Elude and Reckless Driving.  He was found guilty of both and ordered to serve one year of probation and pay fines.

At the time of his arrest, Creech listed his employment as a Lieutenant with the Winter Haven Fire Department.
