 Operation Pop Top Results

On Wednesday, May 18, 2016, PCSO School Resource deputies, along with the assistance of a PCSO Explorer (high school student volunteers), conducted “Operation Pop Top” in an effort to combat the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors. A total of seven stores were checked.

The following stores were found to be operating as prescribed by Florida Law, checking I.D and refusing to sell alcoholic beverages to underage minors:

Sunoco - 1790 Shepherd Road, Mulberry

7-11 - 7040 State Road 37 North, Mulberry

Murphy Express - 6801 North Church Street, Mulberry

Speedway - 6808 South Florida Avenue, Lakeland

Stop First Liquor & Tobacco - 1125 Shepherd Road, Mulberry

Get & Go Food Store - 2805 Shepherd Road, Mulberry

The clerk at the Circle K store located at 6340 County Line Road in Mulberry, 40-year-old Tammy Lynn Doncouse of Shepherd Road, did sell alcohol to the minor. She was arrested and transported to the Polk County Jail.
