On Monday, July 17, 2017, PCSO deputies, along with the assistance of a PCSO Explorer (high school student volunteer), conducted “Operation Pop Top” in an effort to combat the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors in the Lakeland area. 15 stores were checked and 13 were in compliance.

7-Eleven – 851 S Florida Ave, Lakeland
Sunoco – 825 S. Florida Ave, Lakeland
BP – 836 W Memorial Blvd, Lakeland
Citgo – 2085 W Highland St, Lakeland
Brown’s Liquor – 1633 W Memorial Blvd, Lakeland
27-year-old Katie Filiace of Lakeland, who works at the Chevron store located at 1615 W. Memorial Blvd in Lakeland, was arrested and charged with selling alcohol to a minor.
39-year-old Lisa Wolfe of Lakeland, who works at the Smoke Shop and Liquor located at 1615 Edgewood Drive in Lakeland, was arrested and charged with selling alcohol to a minor.
