On Tuesday, August 2, 2017, PCSO deputies, along with the assistance of a PCSO Explorer (high school student volunteer), conducted “Operation Pop Top” in an effort to combat the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors in the Bartow, Mulberry, and Lakeland areas. 11 stores were checked and 10 were in compliance.
"We are consistently encouraged that the vast majority of retailers in our area comply with the laws prohibiting selling alcohol to minors. We thank them for their diligence. Those who do not comply will be held accountable.” Grady Judd, Sheriff
