Polk County Sheriff’s Office Computer Crimes Detectives Arrest Lakeland Man in Possession of Child Pornography

At approximately 9:00 am, on Friday, August 1, 2014, Polk County Sheriff’s Office Computer Crimes detectives arrested 44-year-old Clint Charles Englund, of 310 Palmola Street, Lakleland, charging him with four counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Undercover detectives learned Englund was in possession of Child Pornography in July 2014, and began an investigation.  A search warrant was obtained and detectives made contact with Englund at his Lakeland residence.

Located in Englund’s bedroom was a desktop computer - a forensic preview of the computer revealed four videos of pre-pubescent children involved in sexual conduct. The videos were graphic and depicted children engaged in sex with other children, adult males, and a dog.

Post Miranda, Englund admitted to downloading images of child pornography, which he said he would later delete. Englund stated the youngest child he has ever seen involved in child pornography is approximately five years of age.

Englund told detectives he was curious about bestiality and had viewed videos containing bestiality but “doesn’t recall” ever viewing any videos involving children.

Englund was booked in the Polk County Jail without incident, he has since bonded out.
