 Operation Pop Top Results  


On Friday, August 4, 2017, PCSO deputies, along with the assistance of a PCSO Explorer (high school student volunteer), conducted “Operation Pop Top” in an effort to combat the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors in the Fort Meade, Frostproof, Lake Wales, and Bartow areas. 16 stores were checked and 16 were in compliance.

"We are consistently encouraged that the vast majority of retailers in our area comply with the laws prohibiting selling alcohol to minors. We thank them for their diligence. Those who do not comply will be held accountable.”  Grady Judd, Sheriff

The following stores were in compliance: 

Sunoco Gas Station - 3 E. Broadway Street, Ft. Meade

Circle K Stores - 116 N. Charleston Ave, Ft. Meade

Mobile Qwik Way - 724 E. Broadway Street, Ft. Meade

Marathon - 7030 US Hwy 27, Frostproof

R&H Food - 5320 US Hwy 27, Frostproof

Sun Ray Market - 5321 US Hwy 27, Frostproof

Little Dixie #1 - 917 S Scenic Hwy, Frostproof

Sunoco Gas Station - 203 S Scenic Hwy, Frostproof

Little Dixie #2 - 22 County Road 630, Frostproof

Kangaroo Express - 14581 US Hwy 27, Lake Wales

Lake Wales Citgo - 16311 US 27, Lake Wales

Citgo Food Mart - 20500 US 27, Lake Wales

Gate Gas Station - 2950 Ridgeway, Lake Wales
