PCSO Computer Crimes Detectives Re-Arrest Lakeland Man in Possession of Child Pornography

On August 6, 2014, after an extensive forensic examination of previously-arrested 44-year-old Clint Charles Englund's computer equipment, PCSO Computer Crimes detectives filed an additional 48 counts of Possession of Child Pornography against Englund, and he was re-arrested and booked into the Polk County Jail.

The investigation began in July 2014 - see August 4th news release.

During his original arrest for possession of child pornography on August 1, 2014, PCSO detectives seized Englund's desktop computer for further analysis. During the analysis of his computer, detectives located two additional videos and 52 images depicting the sexual performance of children. The victims depicted in the videos and images were approximately 3 to 10 years of age, with at least four of the images depicting children younger than 3 years of age being sexually abused by an adult.

In light of this new evidence, the State Attorney's Office direct-filed 48 additional charges against Englund, and he was arrested and booked into the Polk County Jail (he had previously bonded out of jail, on August 2, 2014). He will remain in jail on no bond until a first appearance hearing this afternoon at 1:00 p.m.

"There are no words to describe the types of people who create, distribute, and possess images and videos such as these. Everyone involved in this crime needs to be locked up, and we will continue our investigation to try to identify these victims, and those responsible for creating these heinous images and videos." - Sheriff Grady Judd
