 Operation Pop Top Results 


On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, PCSO deputies, along with the assistance of a PCSO Explorer (high school student volunteer), conducted “Operation Pop Top” in an effort to combat the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors in the Lakeland area. 11 stores were checked and 10 were in compliance.

"We are consistently encouraged that the vast majority of retailers in our area comply with the laws prohibiting selling alcohol to minors. We thank them for their diligence. Those who do not comply will be held accountable.”  Grady Judd, Sheriff

7-Eleven Store 3031 US Hwy 98 North, Lakeland

Chevron 10705 US Hwy 98 N, Lakeland

Circle K Store 10705 Hwy 98 N, Lakeland

Circle K Store 7250 US Hwy 98 N, Lakeland

Circle K Store 8324 US Hwy 98 N, Lakeland

RaceTrac 6650 US 98 N, Lakeland

7-Eleven Store 2993 Duff Rd, Lakeland

27-year-old Mellawathantrige Elmo Hyacint Perera of Mulberry, who works at Sunoco located at 2100 W. Memorial Blvd, was arrested for sale of alcohol to a minor.
