 Operation Pop Top Results 


On Thursday, September 8, 2016, PCSO School Resource deputies, along with the assistance of a PCSO Explorer (high school student volunteers), conducted “Operation Pop Top” in an effort to combat the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors, in the Lakeland and Mulberry areas. Eight stores were checked, and all but one store was in compliance.

The following stores were in compliance:

Circle K – 2425 West Memorial Blvd, Lakeland

Citgo – 2340 West Memorial Blvd, Lakeland

Sunoco – 2100 West Memorial Blvd, Lakeland

Sunoco – 607 East Canal St, Mulberry

Shell – 104 North Church St, Mulberry

Sunoco – 1285 North Church St, Mulberry

Roc’s Liquors – 806 North Church St, Mulberry

48-year-old Muhammed Sagar of Lakeland, who works at the Marathon gas station located at 700 North Wabash Avenue in Lakeland, was arrested and charged with selling alcohol to a minor.
