 Operation Pop Top Results  

On Tuesday, October 17, 2017, PCSO deputies, along with the assistance of a PCSO Explorer (high school student volunteer), conducted “Operation Pop Top” in an effort to combat the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors in Lakeland area. 6 stores were checked and 5 were in compliance.

"We are consistently encouraged that the vast majority of retailers in our area comply with the laws prohibiting selling alcohol to minors. We thank them for their diligence. Those who do not comply will be held accountable.”  Grady Judd, Sheriff

The following stores were in compliance: 

Race Trac 3600 Harden Blvd., Lakeland

Citgo 2248 New Tampa Hwy., Lakeland

Circle K 2425 W Memorial Blvd., Lakeland

Five Star Gas & Fuel 2340 W Memorial Blvd., Lakeland

Sunoco 2100 W Memorial Blvd., Lakeland

23-year-old Robert Lee Pinkston III of Palm Harbor, who works at the Marathon Store located at 628 North Wabash Ave in Lakeland was arrested and charged with selling alcohol to a minor and possession of marijuana.
