 HIDTA Task Force Makes Nine Arrests in Lake Wales and Winter Haven 


On October 25, 2013, the Central Florida HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area) task force charged nine suspects and seized illegal narcotics in the Lake Wales and Winter Haven areas.

Detectives served a search warrant at 1448 Morningside Drive in Lake Wales after establishing probable cause that illegal narcotics were being sold from the house.  Eight adults and two children were located in the home.  During a search of the residence, detectives located marijuana and drug paraphernalia throughout the entire residence. Seven of the adults were arrested, and detectives notified the Department of Children and Families in regards to the children - DCF placed the children with relatives.  Moises Rodriguez also resides at the residence but was not home during the execution of the search warrant.  Detectives located Rodriguez at his place of employment and arrested him for narcotics located inside of his bedroom.

Detectives also received information that there was a substantial amount of marijuana at 4138 Vista Del Lago Drive in Winter Haven. Detectives executed a search warrant at that house, and located approximately 2 pounds of marijuana; a stolen .22 caliber firearm; $900.00 in U.S. currency; and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.  Deshala Robinson resides at the residence and was present at the time of the search warrant.  Robinson was arrested without incident.

Cody Joyce, DOB 7/8/92, of 200 Emerald Ave, Lake Wales; charged with: Possession of Cannabis (Less Than 20 Grams); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Possession of Prescription Drug without Prescription; no previous arrests in Polk County.

Diana Cressman, DOB 11/16/92; of 1448 Morningside Drive, Lake Wales; charged with: Possession of Cannabis (Less 20); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Possession of Prescription Drug without Prescription; no previous arrests in Polk County.

Sarah Cressman, DOB 12/27/89; of 1448 Morningside Drive, Lake Wales; charged with: Possession of Cannabis (Less 20); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Resisting Arrest; she has one previous arrest in Polk County, in February 2013 for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.

Tara Wells, DOB 9/2/91; of 1448 Morningside Drive, Lake Wales; charged with: Possession of Cannabis; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Maintain Residence for Drug Use; no previous arrests in Polk County.

Moises Rodriguez, DOB 8/15/82; of 1448 Morningside Drive, Lake Wales; charged with: Possession of Cannabis; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Maintain Residence for Drug Use; he has 9 prior arrests in Polk County from 2004, on charges such as: Grand Theft of Firearm, Grand Theft, Burglary, Dealing in Stolen Property, Possession Marijuana, Possession Paraphernalia, DWLSR, VOP;
He was sentenced to one year in state prison in April 2011 for two counts of VOP/Grand Theft, and was released in November 2011.

Hahshim Saunders, DOB 8/14/91; of 30912 Single Tree Ct, Lake Wales; charged with: Disorderly Conduct; Resisting Arrest; he has two prior arrests in Polk County, both for Battery.

Richard Vickery, DOB 5/31/89; of 1448 Morningside Drive, Lake Wales; charged with: Possession of Cannabis (Less 20); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; he has one prior arrest in Polk County, for Possession of Cannabis and Paraphernalia.

Carlus Stephens, DOB 12/26/90; of 1448 Morningside Drive, Lake Wales; charged with: Possession of Cannabis (Less 20); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; no prevous arrests in Polk County.

Deshala Robinson, DOB 8/8/88; of 4138 Vista Del Lago Drive, Winter Haven; charged with: Possession of Cannabis WITS within 1000 feet of Public Housing; Possession of Cannabis (Over 20 Grams); Maintain Structure for Drug Sales; Grand Theft Firearm; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; 3 counts of Child Neglect; no previous arrests in Polk County.
