 PCSO Detectives Arrest Four Men At Saddle Creek Park For Soliciting Lewd Acts 


From October 30th to November 1st, 2012, Polk County Sheriff's undercover detectives conducted Vice initiatives in parks within Polk County. A total of four men were arrested for soliciting lewd acts, and four others were arrested on alcohol or drug charges. Detectives conducted the initiatives at Saddle Creek Park in Lakeland, Peace River Park in Homeland, and the Fort Meade Outdoor Complex.

At Saddle Creek Park, detectives arrested the following four suspects for solicitation:

Matilde Medrano, DOB 8/14/41, of 1123 Swindell Avenue in Lakeland, was observed by several detectives driving around Saddle Creek Park attempting to make contact with other men. While talking to an undercover detective, Medrano solicited the detective to commit a lewd act. Medrano was wearing women’s clothes at the time of his arrest. He told detectives he is unemployed and is single. He was arrested and charged with Soliciting Another to Commit Lewdness. He was arrested in 2003 for Offer to Commit Prostitution and Soliciting Another to Commit Prostitution; in 2002 for Offer to Commit Lewdness and Soliciting Another to Commit Lewdnes;, and in 1996 for Offer to Commit Lewdness and Battery.

Jeffrey Dane Taylor, DOB 04/27/53, of 13310 Misti Loop in Lakeland, solicited an undercover detective in a bathroom at Saddle Creek Park to commit a lewd act. Upon his arrest, Taylor was found in possession of a Methamphetamine pipe. He told detectives he is a self-employed truck driver and is single. He was arrested and charged with Soliciting Another to Commit Lewdness, Possession of Meth, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Aldon Richard Whitworth, DOB 12/04/68, of 223 Mary Catherine Court in Lakeland, solicited an undercover detective in a bathroom at Saddle Creek Park to commit a lewd act. Whitworth told detectives he is a truck driver and is single. He was arrested and charged with Soliciting Another to Commit Lewdness. He was arrested by PCSO in 2003 for Indecent Exposure and Committing Lewdness. 

[NAME REDACTED] in Lakeland, solicited an undercover detective in the woods at Saddle Creek Park to commit a lewd act. He was arrested and charged with Soliciting Another to Commit Lewdness.

During the initiative, four other suspects were arrested on various charges:

Sidney Burnsed, DOB 5/6/93, of 904 9th Street SE in Fort Meade was arrested at the Fort Meade Outdoor Complex for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

Hannah Croy, DOB 4/6/94, of 6066 Citrus Highlands Drive in Bartow was arrested at the Fort Meade Outdoor Complex for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

Tyler Hackenberger, DOB 11/2/90, of 7001 Scenic Hills Blvd in Lakeland was arrested at Saddle Creek Park for Possession of Open Container of Alcohol in Public;

Jeremy Ortiz, DOB 9/16/89, of 1611 Stephanie Lane in Lakeland was arrested at Saddle Creek Park for Possession of Open Container of Alcohol in Public.

"Polk County's parks are beautiful places where we can relax, fish, play, and enjoy time together. They are not places for committing lewd acts, abusing drugs, or drinking alcohol. If you choose to commit illegal acts in our parks, you will be arrested and booked into the Polk County Jail." - Sheriff Grady Judd
