McCallister Jailed on 31 Counts of Child Pornography

59-year-old William Lee McCallister, Ridge 3606 Ridge Lake Drive, Lake Wales, was booked into the Polk County Jail Tuesday, November 6, 2012, on 31 Counts of Possession of Child Pornography and Violation of Pre-trail Release Conditions.  The Child Pornography charges were filed by the State Attorney’s Office of the 10th Judicial Circuit as a result of the ongoing investigation into McCallister’s criminal activity.  The 31 images of Child Pornography were located on one of McCallister’s computers.

McCallister, who operated Florida Polygraph Associates, Inc., located on 357 East Central Avenue, Winter Haven, has been the subject of the ongoing investigation involving the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the Winter Haven Police Department and the State Attorney’s Office.

The Winter Haven Police Department began an initial investigation in December 2011, after receiving information that McCallister had drugged a female victim at his place of business then Sexually Battered the victim during a purported polygraph exam.  Winter Haven detectives ultimately charged McCallister with Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Extortion and Attempted Sexual Battery.  The Polk County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation conducting a forensics search of computers from the business.

During an August 2012 search of McCallister’s residence, Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives located a .357 Smith and Wesson revolver.  McCallister was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon at that time.

McCallister's past criminal arrest history includes serving 15 years in prison for seven counts of Robbery, Kidnapping and two counts of Administering Barbiturates in 1992 after the Orange County Sheriff's Office investigated cases where he was suspected of drugging women in bars.

Detectives believe McCallister may have other victims who have yet to come forward.  Anyone with information about McCallister’s crimes is urged to contact the Polk County Sheriff’s Office at 863.298.6200.
