Mosaic Donates Money To Purchase New PCSO Canine

On Veteran's Day, Monday, November 11, 2013, Mosaic Fertilizer, LLC, will honor the Polk County Sheriff's Office by presenting them with a check for $8,000 for the purchase of a new dog, and naming the new canine.  The name was chosen through a contest Mosaic hosted on their Facebook page.

During an already-scheduled Veteran's Day celebration at the facility, Mosaic employees will reveal the name of the new canine they purchased for the K-9 Unit.  PCSO members of the unit will be on hand to share in the festivities, which will held from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the New Wales plant, located at 3095 CR 640 West in Mulberry.

"We are so grateful to our partners at Mosaic for donating the $8,000 we needed to add another four-legged member to our K-9 Unit.  Our canines are a tremendous asset to our agency and the people of Polk County - they help deputies safely apprehend criminals, they detect illegal narcotics and get drugs off the street, and they find missing persons or suspects who flee.  We are very excited to hear the name that Mosaic has picked for our newest agency member." - Sheriff Grady Judd

Photo and video opportunities will be made available.  The media and public are invited to attend.
