Polk County Sheriff’s Office Offers “Pets for Vets” Throughout November

The Polk County Sheriff’s office Animal Control Section will be hosting “Pets for Vets” adoptions throughout the month of November.

The regular adoption fee has been reduced to $20.00 for Military Veterans, either past or current with proof of military service.  The adoption fee covers microchip identification, vaccinations and license tag, as well as sterilization.

Veterans and their families can select their new pets at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control located at 7115 De Castro Road, Winter Haven, Monday through Saturday, 10:00 – 4:00 pm.  (The facility will be closed on November 12th, and November 22 - 25, in observance of the holidays.)

The men and women of the PCSO salute all Military personnel and extend our heartfelt appreciation for the sacrifices made during your service to America.
