PCSO Encourages Residents to Bring Documents to Shred

In an effort to promote identity theft prevention, the Polk County Sheriff's Office, working with Crown Information Management, Belk, and Lowe's, invites the public to bring their sensitive unwanted documents* to one of two upcoming shredding events:

On Saturday, November 14, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m you can bring your documents to Lowe's at 700 3rd Street Southwest in Winter Haven.

On Saturday, November 21, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. you can bring your documents to be shredded to Belk at Lakeside Village, 1400 Town Center Drive in Lakeland.

"We encourage everyone to take advantage of this free event and help protect yourself from identity theft. Documents that contain personal and financial information should always be shredded by a cross-cut shredder so that criminals can't get their hands on them and steal your identity." - Sheriff Grady Judd
For more information contact PCSO Crime Prevention at 863.298.6677.

*Residents and businesses are asked to limit the amount of documents to 10 banker boxes each.
