 Operation Pop Top Results  

On Tuesday, December 12, 2017, PCSO deputies, along with the assistance of a PCSO Explorer (high school student volunteer), conducted “Operation Pop Top” in an effort to combat the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors in the Lakeland, Polk City, Auburndale, Lake Alfred, and Davenport areas. 13 stores were checked and 12 were in compliance.

"We are consistently encouraged that the vast majority of retailers in our area comply with the laws prohibiting selling alcohol to minors. We thank them for their diligence. Those who do not comply will be held accountable.”  Grady Judd, Sheriff

Sandpiper Mobil - 6655 N. Socrum Loop, Lakeland

Circle K - 1026 Walt Williams Rd., Lakeland

Shell Polk City Truck Stop - 1821 State Road 559, Polk City

Loves Store #228 - 1800 Highway 559, Auburndale

Polk City Marathon - 6000 State Road 557, Lake Alfred

7-Eleven - 44249 U.S. HWY 27, Davenport

Circle K - 45489 U.S. HWY 27 North, Davenport

Circle K - 101 Polo Park Blvd East, Davenport

Circle K - 2444 Sand Mine Road, Davenport

Loves Travel Stop - 54000 U.S. Hwy 27, Davenport

Marathon - 43804 U.S. Hwy 27, Davenport

Racetrac - 43250 U.S. Hwy 27, Davenport

27-year-old Chyeisha Crews of Lake Wales, who works at the Sunoco Gas Station located at 44009 U.S. Hwy 27 N. located in Davenport, was arrested and charged with selling alcohol to a minor.
