Polk County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Arrest Career Criminal

As a result of a traffic stop on Thursday, November 3, 2011, Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies located a stolen laptop computer and arrested four people, one of which was a 31-year-old repeat offender with a lengthy criminal arrest history.

“This is a perfect example of why we should not make exceptions for what some would call ‘non-violent crimes,’” said Sheriff Grady Judd.  “This suspect had been released from prison, was on probation, and in less than 60 days of his release, he was re-arrested.”

Arrested was Christopher Alan Jones, DOB 08/22/1981, 2425 Ruth Drive Lake Wales, who was charged with Grand Theft and booked into the Polk County Jail.  Jones had been sent to prison in June 2010, his second sentence.  He was released from state prison on September 19, 2011, only serving a portion of the 84.1 months of his sentence.

During the investigation into Eismon’s activities, deputies located two additional suspects in the hotel and charged with multiple drug charges.  Arrested at the hotel were:  Karah Eismon, DOB 01/27/1982.  Eismon was charged with Possession of a Control Substance without a Prescription, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Donnie Jo Lee, DOB 02/23/1981.  Lee was also charged with Possession of a Control Substance without a Prescription, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Both Karah Eismon and Lee listed their address as that of the hotel.
