Public Notification of Arrestee William Angel Morales-Torres’ Conditional Release and Residency Requirement

This is a public safety announcement from Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd regarding a suspect charged with sex crimes who has been court ordered to live in your area.

In July of 2016, William Angel Morales-Torres was arrested and charged with Capital Sexual Battery of a Child under 12 years old along with numerous other charges related to the abuse of children.  On July 31, 2017, a Polk County Judge deemed William Angel Morales-Torres incompetent to proceed in court hearings, pursuant to Florida State Statute Chapter 916.  Morales-Torres was then placed on conditional release by the judge and ordered to reside at 2635 W. Highland Street in Lakeland. The State Attorney’s Office has not dropped these criminal charges; the charges are pending further court action.

This notice is to advise residents, so you will be aware that this person is living in your area.  William Angel Morales-Torres is 23-years-old.
