On June 9, 2009, a Heartland Crime Stoppers case was posted on the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Facebook Page. As a result, a suspect in a recent Vehicle Burglary and Credit Card Theft which occurred on Jessanda Circle, Lakeland, was arrested.
The Vehicle Burglary occurred sometime between the hours of 7:00 pm, on Monday, May 18, 2009, and 7:30 am, Tuesday, May 19, 2009. Suspect(s) entered a vehicle parked on Jessanda Circle, Lakeland, and removed several items to include a wallet with the victim’s identification and credit cards.
A citizen recognized 27-year-old, Bryan Thomas Cuje, 209 Orangeview Lane, Lakeland, from the video surveillance posted on the PCSO Facebook page and contacted the Sheriff’s Office. Cuje was arrested Friday, June 12, 2009 and charged with Burglary, Petit Theft, and Criminal use of Identification. Cuje confessed to using the stolen credit card.
Detectives are asking the public’s help in identifying a second suspect in this ongoing investigation.
At approximately 5:00 am, on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, video images captured a heavy set white male, with brown hair, balding in the front and back, using the victim’s credit card at Wal-Mart, 6745 North Church Avenue, Mulberry.
