PCSO Animal Control Pet Adoption Day

Halloween is fast approaching and children will be looking for special treats. Families can find some very special treats this weekend at the Polk County Animal Control Adoption Day.  Saturday, October 20, 2007, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, Polk County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Section, 7115 De Castro Road, Winter Haven, will be hosting a Pet Adoption Day.  All adoptions have been discounted to $25.00 for the day, and the cost includes spay or neuter, rabies shots, rabies tags, and micro-chip.

Many of the pets will be ready to be taken directly home with their new families. A few pets may need to remain for spays or neuters and micro-chipping in which case they may be picked up a few days later.

Photos of a few of the pets being offered accompany this release and can also be seen by visiting www.polksheriff.org. You could even name your new pet “Pumpkin,” “Candy,” “Boo,” or “Shadow!”

Don’t miss this opportunity to find a “special treat” for your family. For more information, please contact the PCSO Animal Control Section at 863.499.2600
