On Friday, July 7, 2017, PCSO deputies, along with the assistance of a PCSO Explorer (high school student volunteer), conducted “Operation Pop Top” in an effort to combat the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors in Winter Haven, Lake Wales, Haines City, and Davenport areas. 20 stores were checked and 18 were in compliance.

56-year-old Sikdar Shaifuzzaman of Winter Haven, who works at the Chevron store located at 5900 Lucerne Park Road in Winter Haven, was arrested and charged with selling alcohol to a minor.
65-year-old Jane Weaver of Davenport, who works at Publix located at 7800 Lake Wilson Road in Davenport, was arrested and charged with selling alcohol to a minor.
