CAPTURED!  Randall Scott Miller Apprehended in Carrollton, Georgia, by U.S. Marshals

44-year-old Randall Scott Miller (DOB 4/9/1969) of Cone Road in Auburndale was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service in Carrollton, Georgia this morning (April 19, 2013).  The following U.S. Marshals Service task forces worked day and night locating the suspect: Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force, Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, and Smoky Mountains Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Miller had a Polk County warrant for his arrest for Attempted Murder and Kidnapping, after shooting his girlfriend in the head three times this past Tuesday, April 16, 2013.

PCSO deputies and the U.S. Marshals Service have been actively searching for Miller since Tuesday.  He has been booked into the Jack T. Bell Detention Center (Carroll County Jail) where he will await extradition back to Polk County. Carroll County is located in the west central section of Georgia on the Georgia-Alabama state line, and is approximately 49 miles west of downtown Atlanta (http://www.carrollcountyga.com).

The victim in this case is in stable condition and is expected to recover from her wounds.

“We appreciate the community’s help and the U.S. Marshals Service for helping us locate this very dangerous suspect.  Randall Miller shot his girlfriend three times in the face and head when she tried to get away from him.  He tried to kill her, yet she miraculously survived.  After shooting her, he dragged her back into his truck, drove around, and dumped her out, leaving her for dead.  He belongs behind bars, and we’re happy he’s there.” – Sheriff Grady Judd
