Fingerprinting

Fingerprinting

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Community Services Section will fingerprint children free of charge.  The children should be between the ages of 3 and 12.  Both hands of the child will be fingerprinted on an identification card, which will be given to the child’s parent/guardian for safe-keeping.  It is recommended that the card  be updated with a current photograph and growth information once a year.

 Fingerprinting hours are also available.
