This section enforces the County's Animal Control Ordinance and the
state's Dangerous Dog statue both inside and outside all city
limits. County law requires that all dogs and cats four months and
older have a current rabies vaccination and wear a valid tag. Dogs must be
confined to their owner's property or be under the owner's control
when in public areas. Animal Control investigates bite cases and dangerous dog cases. This agency also
provides animal adoption programs, picks up sick or injured dogs and
cats, and quarantines animals. When inquiring about animals viewed
on our website, you must provide the animal id number from the
website.
