Divisions and Districts Boundaries

The Polk County Sheriff's Office law enforcement services are divided into two divisions: West and East. In each division there are two districts: Northwest and Southwest for West Division; and Northeast and Southeast for East Division. COPS units are located throughout unincorporated Polk County.


West Division

Northwest District - The district headquarters is located approximately one-mile north of I-4 at 1045 Wedgewood Estates Blvd, Lakeland. They can be reached at 863 577-1600.

North Boundary: Begins at the Pasco County line and travels to SR 33. South Boundary:  Begins 1 mile north of Old Dixie Hwy at Polk Parkway and travels west 2.77 miles. It then turns south .75 miles then west 2 miles to Combee Road traveling north of the Timber Creek Subdivision.  It turns southwest .6 miles to intersect with Lake Parker Drive and Webb’s Lane/Ralph Road. It follows the border of Lake Parker to Canal Rd. It turns south on Canal Road to CR 542/Main Street. It travels west on CR 542/Main Street to South Florida Avenue.  It turns south on South Florida Avenue 7.5 miles to Shepherd Road then travels west on Shepherd Road continuing to County Line Road, which is 5 miles.  East Boundary: Begins at the Lake County line at SR 33 and travels south 12 miles, which is just north of Appaloosa Hill Road.  It turns east and travels 1.08 miles from Commonwealth Road then south 2.61 miles to I-4.  It travels west on I-4 2.95 miles to the Polk Parkway then south on the Polk Parkway 4.71 miles (north of Old Dixie Hwy). West Boundary:  The Pasco/Hillsborough County line south to Shepherd Road.

Sector 10:

North Boundary:  Runs along the Pasco County line east to US 98. South Boundary: Runs from US 98 and 10th St to I-4, then west to County Line Road. East Boundary: Travels from Pasco County line and US 98 south to 10th St. West Boundary: Begins at I-4 and County Line Road then follows the Hillsborough County line north.

Sector 11:

North Boundary: Travels along the Pasco County line from US 98 to SR 33. South Boundary: Travels along I-4 from CR 559 to the Polk Parkway, then south .75 miles to north of Old Dixie Highway. It continues west 2.77 miles, then south .75 miles.  It then turns west 2 miles to Combee Road, running north of the Timber Creek Subdivision.  It then continues southwest .6 miles from Combee Road to intersect with Lake Parker Drive and Webb’s Lane/Ralph Road.  It then follows the shore of Lake Parker to Canal Road to CR 542/ Main Street then west to North Florida Ave. East Boundary: Begins at the Lake County line at SR 33 and travels south 12 miles, which is just north of Appaloosa Hill Road.  It turns east and travels 1.08 miles from Commonwealth Road then south 2.61 miles to I-4.  West Boundary:  Runs from Main Street north along Forth Florida Avenue to US 98 then north to the Pasco County line.

Sector 12:

North Boundary: Runs from 10th Street and US 98/North Florida Avenue west to I-4 and continues along I-4 to County Line Road . South Boundary:  Travels along Shepherd Road from County line Road to South Florida Avenue/SR 37.  East Boundary: Travels along South Florida Avenue from Shepherd Road to 10th Street and North Florida Avenue. West Boundary: Travels along County line Rd from I-4 to Shepherd Road.

Street Boundary Lines (NW)

  • Shepherd Road:  Southwest District is responsible for all calls to the south of Shepherd Road from South Florida Avenue to County Line Rd.  Northwest District is responsible for calls on Shepherd Road and north.

  • South Florida Avenue:  Southwest District is responsible for all calls on South Florida Avenue from Main Street to Shepherd Road and east.  Northwest District is responsible for all calls to the west of South Florida Avenue.

  • Main Street:  Southwest District is responsible for all calls on Main Street from Canal Road to South Florida Avenue and south.  Northwest District is responsible for all calls to the north.

  • I-4:  Northwest District is responsible for all calls on I-4 from the Polk Parkway to CR 559 and north. Northeast District is responsible for all calls to the south.

  • Polk Parkway: Northeast is responsible for all calls on the Polk Parkway from SR 540 to I-4 and east. Northwest is responsible for all calls from north of Old Dixie to I-4. Southwest is responsible for all calls from SR 540 to north of Old Dixie.

  • SR 33: Northeast is responsible for all calls on SR 33 from the Lake County line 12 miles south (which is north of Appaloosa Hill Road) and calls east of SR 33.  Northwest is responsible for all calls to the west of SR 33.

Southwest District - The district headquarters are at the entrance to the University of South Florida/Polk Community College off of U.S. Highway 98 South, Lakeland. They can be reached at 863 499-2400.

 North Boundary:  Begins 1 mile north of Old Dixie Hwy at Polk Parkway and travels west 2.77 miles. It then turns south .75 miles then west 2 miles to Combee Road traveling north of the Timber Creek Subdivision.  It turns southwest .6 miles to intersect with Lake Parker Drive and Ralph Road. It follows the border of Lake Parker to Canal Rd. It turns south on Canal Road to CR 542/Main Street. It travels west on CR 542/Main Street to South Florida Avenue.  It turns south on South Florida Avenue 7.5 miles to Shepherd Road then travels west on Shepherd Road continuing to County Line Road, which is 5 miles.  South Boundary:  The Hardee/Manatee/Hillsborough County line to 1.25 miles west of Bereah Road. East Boundary:  Begins 1.25 miles west of Bereah Road at the Highlands County line and travels north 6 miles to US 98 & Rhoden Road. It follows Rhoden Road north to Lake Buffum Road then travels north 5.52 miles to Lake Wales/Alturas Road. It makes a northwest turn 1.99 miles to SR 60. It follows SR 60 west 5.56 miles (west of Rifle Range Road) then turns north 2.21 miles, 1 mile south of Bomber Road. It turns west 2.25 miles traveling south of the Wheeler Heights Subdivision and the Bartow Airbase. It turns north on US 17 to Spirit Lake Road then travels north on Spirit Lake Road .8 miles. It makes a southwest turn traveling .13 miles to the south of Sheffield Road then turns northwest 3.74 miles around Lake Hancock to SR 540. It then follows the Polk Parkway from SR 540 north 1.03 miles past Old Dixie Highway. West Boundary: It travels along County Line Road from Shepherd Road to the Hardee/Manatee/Hillsborough County line.

 Sector 20

North Boundary:  Begins 1 mile north of Old Dixie Hwy at Polk Parkway and travels west 2.77 miles. North Boundary: It follows SR 540 from the Polk Parkway/SR 570 to US 98 then travels north to CR 542(Main Street). It turns west to South Florida Avenue then travels south 7.5 miles on South Florida Avenue to Shepherd Road. It then travels west on Shepherd Road to County Line Road, which is 5 miles. South Boundary:  It begins 1.38 miles SW of the intersection of Spirit Lake Road and Sheffield Road, north of Gordonville. It travels 5.13 miles southwest to the intersection of Lyle Parkway and E.F. Griffin Road then turns south to SR 60.  It travels along SR 60 to Bonnie Mine Road then turns south to CR 640. It follows CR 640 to the Hillsborough County Line Road.  East Boundary:  It begins at the eastbound Polk Parkway/SR 570 ramp and travels southeast to a point 1.38 miles southwest of the intersection of Spirit Lake Road and Sheffield Road, north of Gordonville.  West Boundary:  Travels along County Line Road from CR 640 north to Shepherd Road.

Sector 22

North Boundary:  Travels along CR 640 from the Hillsborough County line to Bonnie Mine Road, then turns north to SR 60. It continues along SR 60 3.45 miles then turns north to the intersection of Lyle Parkway and E.F. Griffin Road.  It continues in a northwestern direction for 5.13 miles until it reaches 1.38 miles southwest of Spirit Lake Road and Sheffield Road, north of Gordonville.  South Boundary: It follows the Hardee and Manatee County line to from Hillsborough County to 1.25 miles west of Bereah Road. East Boundary: Begins 1.25 miles west of Bereah Road at the Highlands County line and travels north 6 miles to US 98 & Rhoden Road. It follows Rhoden Road north to Lake Buffum Road then travels north 5.52 miles to Lake Wales/Alturas Road. It makes a northwest turn 1.99 miles to SR 60.   • SR 60: Southwest is responsible for all calls on SR 60 and south.  Southeast District is responsible for all calls north of SR 60.

  • Main Street:  Southwest District is responsible for all calls on Main Street from Canal Road to South Florida Avenue and south.  Northwest District is responsible for all calls to the north.

  • Spirit Lake Road: Southwest District is responsible for all calls to the west of Spirit Lake Road from US 17 to Sheffield Road.  Southeast District is responsible for all calls on Spirit Lake Road and east.

  • US 17 (Bartow):  Southwest District is responsible for all calls west of US 17 from Gate Road to Spirit Lake Road.  Southeast District is responsible for all calls on US 17 from Gate Road to Spirit Lake Road and east.

  • Polk Parkway:  Southwest District is responsible for all calls west of the Polk Parkway from SR 540 to north of Old Dixie Highway. Northeast District is responsible for all calls on the Polk Parkway and east.

East Division

Southeast District -  The district headquarters are located at 4011 Sgt Mary Campbell Way, Lake Wales and can be reached at 863-678-4170 or 863-534-6291.

North Boundary: Begins at SR 540 and SR 570. It travels east to Recker Highway then turns north to Lake Shipp Drive. It runs east to Lake Shipp then around the south side of Lake Shipp back to the intersection of 7th St SW and Lake Shipp Drive. It continues along Lake Shipp Drive to US 17. It then runs north on US 17 to the intersection of Havendale Boulevard. It continues east 1.10 miles to 7th Street NE/Fairfax Court. It turns north and travels .6 miles then turns west .25 back to CR 544/Lurcerne Park Rd. It travels north on Lucerne Park Road to Lake Conine.  It runs around the east side of Lake Conine then north to Lake Rochelle.  It goes around the south side of Lake Rochelle and continues to east side then turns north to Lake Haines.  It follows along the north side of the 4 Lakes Subdivision and then east to Lake Henry. It continues around the south side of Lake Henry and then to the north of the Hidden Cove Subdivision. It runs southeast to the Intersection of US 27 & SR 544 (Lucerne Park Road). It continues east to Lake Marion around the north side of Shady Cove Resort.  It continues to the east side of Lake Marion. It travels north 3.7 miles to Cypress Parkway (which is 2.48 miles east of Lake Marion Creek Road). It then travels east along Cypress Parkway to the Polk/Osceola County Line and continues east along the Osceola County line.  South Boundary: It travels along the Hardee/Highlands County line to 1.25 miles west of Bereah Road. East Boundary: It follows the Osceola County line. West Boundary: It begins 1.25 miles west of Bereah Road at the Highlands County line and travels north 6 miles to US 98 & Rhoden Road. North Boundary: It begins at US 27 & SR 544 and travels east to Lake Marion around the north side of Shady Cove Resort to east side of Lake Marion. It travels north 3.7 miles to Cypress Parkway (which is 2.48 miles east of Lake Marion Creek Road). It then travels east along Cypress Parkway to the Polk/Osceola County Line and continues east along the Osceola County line. South Boundary:  It travels along SR 60 from US 27 to the Osceola County line.  East Boundary: It follows the Osceola County line to SR 60.  West Boundary:  It travels along US 27 from SR 544 to SR 60. 

Sector 41

North Boundary: Begins at SR 540 and runs east to Recker Highway then travels north to Lake Shipp Drive. It continues east around the south side of Lake Shipp to US 17. It then runs north on US 17 to the intersection of Havendale Boulevard. It continues east 1.10 miles to 7th Street NE/Fairfax Court. It turns north and travels .6 miles then turns west .25 back to CR 544/Lurcerne Park Rd. It travels north on Lucerne Park Road to Lake Conine.  It runs around the east side of Lake Conine then north to Lake Rochelle.  It goes around the south side of Lake Rochelle and continues to east side then turns north to Lake Haines.  It follows along the north side of the 4 Lakes Subdivision and then east to Lake Henry. Sector 42

North Boundary: It begins 1 mile west of West Lake Wales Rd on SR 60 and continues to the Osceola County line. South Boundary: It travels along the Hardee/Highlands County line to 1.25 miles west of Bereah Road. East Boundary: It follows the Osceola County line. West Boundary: It begins1.25 miles west of Bereah Road at the Highlands County line and travels north 6 miles to US 98 & Rhoden Road.   • Havendale Boulevard: Southeast is responsible for all calls on Havendale Boulevard from US 17 to 7th St NE/Fairfax Ct NE and south.  Northeast is responsible for all calls to the north.

  • 5th St:  Southeast is responsible for all calls on 5th St NW and west. Northeast is responsible for all calls to the west. 

  • Cypress Parkway: Northeast is responsible for all calls on Cypress Parkway and north.  Southeast is responsible for all calls south of cypress parkway from the Polk County/Osceola County line to 2.48 east of Lake Marion Creek Road.

North Boundary: Begins at SR 33 and travels along the Osceola/Orange/Lake County line.  South Boundary: Begins at SR 540 and SR 570. It travels east to Recker Highway then turns north to Lake Shipp Drive. It runs east to Lake Shipp then around the south side of Lake Shipp back to the intersection of 7th St SW and Lake Shipp Drive. It continues along Lake Shipp Drive to US 17. It then runs north on US 17 to the intersection of Havendale Boulevard.  It continues east 1.10 miles to 7th Street NE/Fairfax Court. It turns north and travels .6 miles then turns west .25 back to CR 544/Lurcerne Park Rd. It travels north on Lucerne Park Road to Lake Conine.  It runs around the east side of Lake Conine then north to Lake Rochelle.  It goes around the south side of Lake Rochelle and continues to east side then turns north to Lake Haines.  It follows along the north side of the 4 Lakes Subdivision and then east to Lake Henry. It continues around the south side of Lake Henry and then to the north of the Hidden Cove Subdivision. It runs southeast to the Intersection of US 27 & SR 544 (Lucerne Park Road). It continues east to Lake Marion around the north side of Shady Cove Resort.  It continues to the east side of Lake Marion. East Boundary: Begins at the Osceola/Orange/Lake County line then travels south 6 miles along the Osceola County line. It turns east and travels 6 miles along the Osceola County line.  It continues southeast 4.5 miles then turns south traveling 4.14 miles along the Osceola County line. It turns east traveling 3.4 miles to the intersection of Cypress Parkway and the Polk County line.  It then follows Cypress Parkway west 3.53 miles (which is 2.48 miles east of Lake Marion Creek Road). It then turns south for 3.7 miles. West Boundary: Begins at the Lake County line at SR 33 and travels south 12 miles, which is just north of Appaloosa Hill Road.  It turns east 2.31 miles through Commonwealth Road then south 2.61 miles to I-4.  It travels west on I-4 2.95 miles to the Polk Parkway then south on the Polk Parkway 10.17 miles to SR 540.

Sector 30:

North Boundary: It begins 1.8 miles west of US 27 and continues west along the Lake County Line to SR 33. South Boundary: It begins at US 92 & Polk Parkway (SR 570) and travels east to the intersection of US 92 & US 17. It continues east to Lake Rochelle then runs around the south of Lake Rochelle to the east side of Lake Rochelle. It turns north to Lake Haines then travels around the north side of the 4 Lakes Subdivision. It turns east to Lake Henry. East Boundary: It begins at the Lake County line and runs southeast for 9.29 miles.  It then runs south 1.83 miles west of US 27 & I-4 and continues south 8.84 miles to the south side of Lake Henry.   West Boundary: It begins at the Lake County line at SR 33 and travels south 12 miles, which is just north of Appaloosa Hill Road.  It turns east and travels 1.08 miles from Commonwealth Road then south 2.61 miles to I-4.  It travels west on I-4 2.95 miles to the Polk Parkway then south on the Polk Parkway 6.94 miles to US 92.

Sector 31:

North Boundary: It begins at the Lake County line and runs 1.8 miles west of US 27. South Boundary: It begins south of Lake Henry and runs east of Fairway & Swiss Rd in the Swiss Village Subdivision.  It goes around the south side of Lake Henry and continues north of the Hidden Cove Subdivision. It travels southeast to the intersection of US 27 & SR 544 (Lucerne Park Rd). It runs east to Lake Marion around the north side of Shady Cove Resort continuing to the eastside of Lake Marion.  East Boundary: Begins at the Osceola/Orange/Lake County line then travels south 6 miles along the Osceola County line. It turns east and travels 6 miles along the Osceola County line.  It continues southeast 4.5 miles then turns south traveling 4.14 miles along the Osceola County line. It turns east traveling 3.4 miles to the intersection of Cypress Parkway and the Polk County line.  It then follows Cypress Parkway west 3.53 miles (which is 2.48 miles east of Lake Marion Creek Road). It then turns south for 3.7 miles. West Boundary: It begins at the Lake County line and goes southeast for 9.29 miles. It runs south 1.83 miles west of US 27 & I-4 then continues south for 8.84 miles to the south side of Lake Henry. 

Sector 32:

North Boundary: It begins at US 92 & Polk Parkway (SR 570) and travels east to the intersection of US 92 & US 17 and continues east to Lake Rochelle. South Boundary: Begins at SR 540 and SR 570. It travels east to Recker Highway then turns north to Lake Shipp Drive. It runs east to Lake Shipp then around the south side of Lake Shipp back to the intersection of 7th St SW and Lake Shipp Drive. It continues along Lake Shipp Drive to US 17.  East Boundary: It then runs north on US 17 to the intersection of Havendale Boulevard.  It continues east 1.10 miles to 7th Street NE/Fairfax Court. It turns north and travels .6 miles then turns west .25 back to CR 544/Lurcerne Park Rd. It travels north on Lucerne Park Road to Lake Conine.  It runs around the east side of Lake Conine then north to Lake Rochelle.  It travels along the south side of Lake Rochelle and turns north to Lake Haines. West Boundary: It travels along the Polk Parkway 3.21 miles from US 92 south to SR 540.

Street Boundary Lines (NE)

  • SR 540:  Southeast is responsible for all calls on SR 540 from the Polk Parkway to Lake Shipp and south. Northeast is responsible for all calls north.

  • US 17 (Winter Haven): Southeast is responsible for all calls on US 17 from Lake Shipp to Havendale Boulevard and east.  Northeast is responsible for all calls west of US 17.

  • Havendale Boulevard: Southeast is responsible for all calls on Havendale Boulevard from US 17 to 5th St NW and south.  Northeast is responsible for all calls to the north.

  • 5th St:  Southeast is responsible for all calls on 5th St NW and west. Northeast is responsible for all calls to the west.
