  • Wilder was responsible for launching & coordinated the TRIAD & S.A.L.T. Council Programs in Polk County (Seniors And Law Enforcement Together). He co-developed and launched the Sheriff’s Leadership Council Program. He developed, organized, launched, and coordinated Polk County Crime Stoppers. Has served on a number of Special Projects Teams, including the South County Jail Project, Pay For Performance Project, and Education Committee, among others. Has headed the PCSO United Way Campaign & Day of Caring. Has been involved in government relations work representing the Sheriff, Sheriff’s Office, and Florida Sheriff’s Association. Appointed and served on Polk County’s original Charter Commission. He is a strong supporter of the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranches (Builder), Stetson University, and the United Way. He has received a number of unit, section, department and Sheriff’s commendations. He has twice earned the Meritorious Service Medal.
