District, detectives are continuing to seek information in the December 1997, suspicious
disappearance of a 25-year- old Davenport woman. Tonya Humennys, of 18 Laura Court in Davenport, was last seen during the morning hours of Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, around 3 a.m. at the Waffle House, located near Interstate-Four and U.S. Highway 27. She left the restaurant by herself driving a white Dodge Dynasty. When she did not return home, her boyfriend told detectives that he went to search for her and found her abandoned vehicle on the side of County Road 54 in Loughman (just west of the I-4 overpass) at around 7:30 a.m. Ms. Humennys was a dancer at Roxie's in Lake County (approximately one-half mile from the Polk County line). When last seen, Ms. Humennys was wearing a turquoise T-shirt with "ATLANTA" written on the side, black jeans and a black leather jacket. She is 6' tall, with blue eyes and blond hair. Detectives are continuing the investigation in regards to suspected foul play. Anyone with information on Ms. Humennys' disppearance or her possible whereabouts is asked to call Det.
