At approximately 10:22 p.m., on Sunday January 7, 2018 a retail theft occurred at the Walgreens located at 6730 Hwy 98 North in Lakeland.
Two unknown black male suspects walked into Walgreens and asked the clerk to retrieve items for them. The clerk asked the suspects for identification for the requested items, and told detectives that one of the suspects was born in 1996 and the other suspect in 1998. When the store clerk gave the requested items to the two males, they requested another item. When the store clerk gave them the third item, they grabbed all three items and fled the store in an unknown direction.
Anyone with information about this investigation is urged to contact Detective J. Leblanc at (863) 577-1600.
