Auburndale - criminal mischief committed

Polk County Sheriff's detectives are seeking the identity of the suspect seen here for committing a criminal mischief in an Auburndale parking lot.

Around 10:00 a.m. on April 22, 2022, the victim and a friend pulled into the parking lot of Crash Depot located at 523 Recker Hwy. The friend exited the passenger side of the car, at which time the wind caught the door, accidentally knocking it into the suspect's truck (seen here). The suspect witnessed this, and ran out of the business enraged. The suspect kicked the victim's car door, causing a dent. He then fled in his truck heading left on Recker Hwy.

The suspect is described as a white male approximately 60 years old, bald, with a white mustache, wearing denim shorts and a light blue T-shirt with a logo on it. His truck is darc with a white camper top, and a chrome rack on the top.

If anyone has information about this incident or can identify this suspect, they are urged to contact Detective Kier at 863-297-1117, and reference case number 22-17190.
